Szabo Vineyards tasting room in downtown Nevada City offers ambiance, high quality wines and winemaker who is extremely passionate about his wines. Sample one of Alex Szabo’s 100% estate grown varieties either with a tastings, a glass or purchase a bottle and sit in the window and enjoy a cheese platter. The tasting room is open Thursday through Sunday, click here for hours. I love Szabo’s! The atmosphere is awesome and the wines are incredible. It wins the prize in my book for best tasting room in Nevada City. Not to mention it is the only one that plays Jimi Hendrix while you sip unreal wine!

Haha, you know I already LOVE the Outside Inn, and I just likes the Szabo Vineyards page!
I love their primitivo! I recently discovered their winery at “A taste of Grass Valley” and loved the girls working the booth, their wine and everything about them! What’s more? Outside Inn is SUCH a gem in Nevada City. I refer all my out-of-towners to stay there. They have such a fun haunted maze for Halloween and the kids in our family look forward to it every year.

I have yet to visit Szabo… winning would be the perfect excuse 🙂 I’ve heard it’s fabulous… apparently I need more reasons to go out for a glass of wine! Beautiful photos, as always… maybe you should teach a photography class 😉
My favorite is the Sauvignon Blanc…crisp and refreshing on a Summer’s night as well as a Fall Day!! Yummay!

I’m a petite syrah girl over here, but I would love to mention that Szabo IS my favorite venue for a glass of wine. A great setting and always wonderful service just add to the tasty wines they serve up.
Created a gourmet picnic basket & took friends from Palo Alto out the the vineyards this summer. Everyone was super nice & the personalized tasting was a hit. Love the Primitivo. Cheers!
