First Friday Art Walk, Nevada City photos, sidewalk art

Chalk It Up, Community Chalk Art

Did you make it the First Friday Art Walk?  Businesses welcomed local artists, musicans performed on the Nevada City Boardwalk, York Street  and a varietyand town buzzed with excitement and energy.  The event debuted in June, celebrated my birthday in July and definitely contined on with strength for the August .  The Outside Inn sponsored a fun sidewalk chalk in the Robinsons Plaza in front of the Nevada City Chamber, many thanks to all the artists who contributed.  Many thanks to Cynthia at Neva Co for organizing another great Nevada City event.  Enjoy the photos, for more photos check out my Facebook album.  What was your favorite part?  Did you meet a new artist?  Hearing a new local musician?  Or just bump into your neighbors and eat ice cream?

Outside Inn, you continue to weave a beautiful tapestry of our town with your beautiful and thoughtful photos of our events. I was just talking to a collector at my opening at NC Winery last night, hoping that someone was covering the Artwalk. And of course the first response from the collector was, “Outside Inn is!” Kudos to you!
