Nevada City First Friday Art Walk
Nevada City First Friday Art Walk is just one of the many reasons I love our cute little town. Any occasion that brings folks together to celebrate the arts is a plus in my books. I also love that the focus of the event is to get locals and visitors into the shops, so regardless of whether you’re shopping/eating/drinking during Art Walk, it’s a great reminder to think local first. Last night’s event included Treats sponsored Kidz Alley with the Outside Inn’s Chalk It Up, plus cairn building, music by Neo, crown building, Giant Jenga and more. I wasn’t able to capture everything, but this blog post includes photos from LeeAnn Brook’s reception at Nevada City Winery, Lord Von Schmidt at The Parlour at Neva Co, Kitkitdizzi, Trio Jazz at the DANK closing reception, Rachel Rose Teferet at HAALo, Sprithouse Import Gallery, Tommy Daly and the Velvet Revolution, The Crux on the Nevada City Boardwalk, Phil Brown and Gary Upton at Mowen Solinsky Gallery and 888 artist reception at Szabo Vinyeards Tasting Room. See you next month, mark you calendars for Friday, September 5th, 5-9pm. For photos from previous art walks click on the dates (June, 2103, July 2013, August 2013, September 2013, October 2013, November 2013, May 2014, July 2014). What was your favorite part about the evening?
Of course my favorite part was Mr. Seymore Art’s debut! 🙂
Seemore Art is the type of guy that everyone wants at their party! (Thank you Kathy and Skyzer. He turned out GREAT!)

Thank you Erin for once again capturing the Artwalk vibe so well with your fantastic photos. There were so many fantastic happenings around town, it was hard to see it all! Thank you to all the sponsors, shops and volunteers who make these events happen!
The Crux was so fun! Each of my artwalk experiences are always unique and inspiring. I learn something new with each one and it shows me all the great things I can purchase up here instead of having to go down the hill! I wouldn’t know about half of the shops up here if they hadn’t opened their doors to showcase artists at the artwalk. I love using your photos (with credits, of course) when I exercise my bragging rights about this county we love so much.
Love these! You capture our town perfectly! We sure live in a lively, fun town!
