Outside Magazine Best Towns Wild Card

What a thrill to discover that my Instagram photo of the Outside Inn’s free veggie cart helped Nevada City win a spot in the Outside magazine Best Towns Wild Card contest.

“Over 6,000 votes for 108 towns were entered into our first Best Towns Wild-Card contest—so many that it took us days to sort through them all. As we did, we had a realization: there were far more deserving towns than we had space for in our bracket. These 12 got us the most excited.”

Nevada City joins the list with:  Richmond, VA,  Santa Rosa, CA, South Tahoe, CA, Sun Valley, ID Ventura, CA, Athens, OH, Billings, MT, Brevard, NC, Dayton, OH, Hilton Head, SC and Knoxville, TN.

Now, who’s coming shopping at the free veggie cart today?  So many reasons to love our little town, we’re honored to be doing our part to help share the joy.
