Bounty of the County

Nevada County Grown brings back to the popular Bounty of the County event this Thursday, August 23rd.  The 6th annual event has grown in size and will be at the Grass Valley Vets Hall for the first time this year.  The expanded venue will allow up to 500 visitors to take part in 8 different tastings, doors open at 5:30pm.  Thirteen different restaurants will be participating in the event including: Briarpatch Co-op, Diego’s, Durga’s Divine Cafe, Emily’s Catering & Cakes, Heartwood Eatery, Lake Wildwood Club House, Meze Eater, The Stone House, Summer Thyme Bakery, Thirsty Barrel Taphouse, Three Forks Bakery & Brewery, Wild Eye Pub, Brew Bakers Cafe, plus local craft beer and wine from Grass Valley Brewery, Avanguardia Wines, Double Oak Vineyards, Gray Pine Vineyard and Lucchesi Vineyard and Winery.   The event, a fundraiser for Nevada County Grown, brings together local farmers and chefs to help celebrate sourcing seasonal local ingredients.  You can buy tickets online or post a comment here and I have 2 tickets to giveaway (compliments of fellow photographer RHM Images), post a comment here and I’ll draw the winner on Wednesday, August 22nd.  And friendly reminder you have till 5pm tonight to enter for the tickets to either the Sierra Brewfest or Nevada City Uncorked.  Photos by Lenkaland Photography.  **Edited to say the winner is Tanya Baer.
