Brew Bakers Family Cafe
Brew Bakers Family Cafe recently opened their doors in downtown Grass Valley at 154 Mill Street (where Sergio’s use to be). The family run coffee shop offers Temple Coffee and is currently open Tuesday through Saturdays 7am-4pm (and later for the Thursday Night Market). Stop in for an iced coffee and try a cinnamon roll or a lemon square. Or maybe you want a slice of quiche with a Mexican Hot Chocolate? Homemade cookies, bread pudding, blueberry pies on display daily. Keep tabs on their Facebook page for news of their grand opening party. The Outside Inn’s blog has a special giveaway, post a comment on your favorite afternoon treat and I’ve got 5 coupons to giveaway– buy an espresso drink or iced coffee and get a free baked goodie. Winner will be announced on Monday, July 28th.
Don’t recall if you wrote a piece on bistro 221 or not but had lunch there on Sunday and it was delicious! Prices were reasonable, wait stalk exceptionally friendly and it just had a quaint vibe about it. The menu items were not too earthy like some of the others we viewed but healthy and fresh!
I have done a post, here’s the link: https://visitnevadacityca.com/blog/bistro-221.htm/
So what are you going to treat yourself to if you win at Brew Bakers Family Cafe?
When I make it down there for a visit, you’ll need to take me here.
I love that it’s not if I visit, but when… your list will be very long, my friend.
I see a lemon bar among your photos, oh my, I am heading there toute suite for a cup of joe and a sweetie!
Love that you’re paying attention! I’d say I tried the lemon bar, but my product taster didn’t share.
Cinnamon Roll Heaven.
I know someone else who would agree with you.
Hi, I love a good family run cafe and bakery!
With fresh baked pies!
My pick me up in the afternoon is anything chocolate. Like a cafe mocha and may be some of their bread pudding. I love bread pudding.
I’ve heard good things about the bread pudding, but I agree anything chocolate sounds tasty.
Can’t wait to try this place! Looks delicious!
Lenka– my taste testers gave it two thumbs up!
Woohoo! Happy to have another bakery in town. I’m always in search of the perfect scone to go with hot, black coffee.
That sounds so perfect right now…. you’re making me hungry!
We are so excited to have this cute little coffee shop in town! We’ve stopped in twice so far, and have been so impressed with the quality of food and coffee – their drip coffee is *really* nice and smooth, and blackberry pie and zucchini bread were among the best my husband has had (I’m vegan so couldn’t partake, sadly!). Welcome to town, Brew Bakers!
Did they have very many vegan friendly options?
actually, the Blackberry pie was vegan, and delicious (sorry, I wasn’t clear in my earlier post!). I was there today and I don’t think there was anything vegan, but I know they are thinking of making more vegan options…
I had a couple of their pastries and an outside event a couple weeks ago, and they were great! Can’t wait to go in the store.
It’s great to see them at the Thursday Night Market.
Blackberry pie sounds like just the thing!
Yum.
Once again, Erin, if not for your post, it could take months if not a year to find out this place opened. I went to Facebook and I await going in person.
You’re welcome Ruth, good to have you on my PR team too…
My favorite summer afternoon treat is something icy cold.
That sounds so refreshing right now.
My favorite afternoon treat is an iced latte with a cookie to share with my daughter. So excited to try this new place!
These ideas are all making me hungry…. iced latte sounds lovely.
A lemon bar sounds divine! Will have to check out this place for sure! Thanks for the introduction!
You’re welcome Denise, and not too far out of your way. Glad I can remind you of who’s in your backyard.
