Cafe Mekka and a giveaway
Cafe Mekka, Nevada City. They’re updating their Facebook page and needed some new photos, so I went digging through the various posts from the last year (click here for my first post, here for the Local Roots Food Tour with tasting of Temple Coffee, here for the Nevada City Boardwalk and here for Sheila Cameron’s art for the Wild & Scenic Film Festival Artist Showcase). And then I decided to stop by and sample Yuba Chai while meeting a friend and took some more photos (top left mug). As a special thank you to Outside Inn and Cafe Mekka fans, I’m going to give away 5 buy one get one free coupons to Cafe Mekka, just post a comment on this blog post about what you like about Cafe Mekka and I’ll draw the winners on Friday.

I had the burrito there for the first time. It was so yummy! Thanks for the shout out and good company!
Love the chai at Mecca. And the artwork!
Mekka has the best mocha in town – and thank you Erin for your fantastic blog!
Mekka serves up Temple coffee…hands down the best in town! I love running into friends on the go, and catching up as our drinks are being made.
I love the staff, the lattes, the art….
Love the atmosphere at Cafe Mekka and the yummy treats. Stumbled upon it a couple years ago with a couple of my girlfriends and we sat there for hours visiting and enjoying coffee and goodies. Love it!!
I love the quality and taste of the coffee at Cafe Mecca
OH my daughter loves the Fairy Tea too
Mekka rocks! I love the decadent deserts, funky art, and warm vibes!
I love the latte with sweetened condensed milk. mmm.
Their coffee is the best around. I commute to Sacramento for college every week, and I STILL can’t find a better coffee shop than Mekka. It’s worth the trip every time.
Also, my current favorites are the Fairy Tea, Cafe Borgia, Mad Cow and Rugrat.
I love the bass above the cabinets and the bicycle above the doorway! Plus Corey rocks my socks.
Mekka has always served as a second home for my friends and me. From delicious coffee and a wonderful atmosphere, were where ever you look there are strange and wondrous things for your eyes to rest on, to the life that this little coffee shop has held onto, I love it all. When I do end up moving away, Mekka is one of the things I will miss the most of this small town.
The staff at Mekka is very friendly. As a guest, I always feel welcome and the coffee is awesome too!
I love that they sell Yuba Chai, the walls are fun to look at and the furniture is great.
One of Nevada City’s best coffee houses. Great bohemian atmosphere…a step back into San Francisco circa 1969.
