Calla Lily Crepes
Calla Lily Crepes has opened their brick and mortar restaurant! After many years in the tent across the street from the Nevada Theatre, the crepe stand has expanded to a full restaurant, beer & wine on tap and an outdoor patio. The hours will stay the same, open Tuesday, Thursday-Sunday, late on Fridays & Saturdays, but the new restaurant will offer Grass Valley Brewery on tap, plus NC Kombucary hard kombucha and local wines. Crowd favorites like the Lazy Vegetarian (Organic Rosemary Potatoes, Mozzarella, Goat Cheese, Pesto, Organic Baby Spinach, Roasted Garlic) and The Italian (Pepperoni, Mozzarella, Organic Baby Spinach, Kalamata Olives, Sun-dried Tomatoes, Pepperoncinis) are still on the menu, plus sweet crepes, try the Bananas Foster or the Nutella Crepe. In addition to the familiar menu of crepes, the restaurant will be expanding their menu with deli items with Vegan, Vegetarian (Meat options too) & Gluten Free options. Check out the new location, located at 214 Broad Street. To help kick off the new location we’ve got a $30 gift certificate for one lucky blog reader, post a comment here on your favorite crepe and we’ll draw the winner on Monday, December 23rd. Don’t forget there’s still time to enter the end of the year holiday giveaways, winners will be announced on Christmas. *Edited to say the winner is Julie.
I am so happy for them and the new store! How to pick a favorite?! The nutella crepe is amazing. I can’t wait to enjoy this new lunch addition. I work in downtown NC and love walking to and supporting our local foodie places. ❤
You can NEVER go wrong with Nutella!
Hard kombucha? I’m in!
So glad Calla Lily Crepes is in out of the cold. Can’t wait to visit!
We love all crepes!
My Veggie family has 3 favorites:
1. The Lazy Vegetarian with an added drizzle of the Balsamic Reduction
2. The Pizza Crepe, veggie style (sub artichoke hearts for pepperoni)
3. The Shire
Best food in town!
Great crêpes! I’m very happy for them and wishing them continued success!
Leave off the goat cheese (and cilantro) and I like them all!
I love having Calla Lily crepes to warm my hands on cold nights. So excited they are able open a brick and mortar. Even more warm hands! Their buckwheat crepes is delicious for gluten free folks and everyone who likes a nutty hearty option.
So excited to hear this news! We always eat at Cala Lily whenever we visit NC and I’m excited that all of us will be able to sit comfortably now as we eat! 🙂 my absolute favorite is the lazy vegetarian you mentioned —the pesto makes it, in my opinion! Thanks for the chance to win!
I would love some of the Italian crepes!
AMAZING vegan options! This place is the best!
Yay. Excited for them and excited to try the food!
Sweet! I’m so happy for them! We all love the lazy vegetarian 🙂 Can’t wait to check out the new space!
Vegetarian yummy
My husband and I love the chicken pesto crepe! Can’t wait to visit their new location!
Im really excited Calla Lilly has a new space! Especially now that it is winter! My fav is the lazy vegan- !
I’ve had a very sheltered life and have only had crepes once… they were sweet crepes with strawberries. I’d love to try the Lazy Vegetarian crepes… they sound delicious!
That’s not a sheltered life, you just haven’t had the opportunity– and now look, you don’t even have to leave Nevada County!
Mmm…chicken pesto. Hard work pays off, congrats!!
I’ve had the chicken pesto, it’s yummy. And yes it was a process for them to get it open!
Can’t wait to eat in their new restaurant! A crepe and a glass of wine MMMM.
I’m 100% with you!
Congrats to Calla Lilly Crepes! The Lazy Vegetarian is a favorite 🙂
I can’t wait to visit the new restaurant.
Love their chicken pesto and so glad that they are so much closer to the mineshaft!
So happy for the new space! I love all the crepes but the Lazy Vegetarian with no potatoes and extra goat cheese! This is my go to spot when the electricity was out. Just load up my dog Miss Luna and volunteer at Elks Lodge and we enjoyed a walk and crepe on our way home
The Functional Alcoholic
My fav crepe (that Calla Lily should start selling if they don’t already) is peanut butter, Nutella and sweetened condensed milk drizzled on top.
All the crepes are good, but the Italian is my favorite.
As a child I would make crepes for my mom. My aunt bought me a special crepe pan and I would make them all the time. My favorites to make would be strawberries and cream or a crepe with fresh lemon curd, yum!
I am so excited about the expansion of Calla Lily Crepes!!! The Lazy Vegetarian is my favorite…I am more of a savory gal.
No need for the entry. Just happy it’s officially launched! Much success to Darren and staff. He and his wife are truly amazing at making it happen! Congratulations
I’m all about the simplicity of a cinnamon sugar crepe. Yum! Congratulations on your new home.
I LOVE Cally Lily crepes! Went looking for them at Victorian Xmas last Wednesday night, saw that their tent was closed, and was delighted to discover their new location. It’s great to have a place to actually sit down to eat & I appreciate their new menu offerings. But it would be nice to deflect some of that super bright overhead lighting. Just saying…
I’m so glad they finally got relocated. We’ve liked everything we’ve had so it’s hard to pick a favorite. I haven’t tried the Nutella yet, so that will be one to try.
I would LOVE to try their crepes!!!
HAPPY HOLIDAYS ~
Have always loved their food. Being able to get a brew and hang out inside for a bit makes it that much better!
Definitely the chicken pesto! Can’t wait to try it in the new setting. Although I really love the tent.
How fun! and hard kombucha? yummmm
i’m a savory crepe girl for sure … and as long as there’s spinach and cheese and something else (chicken, pesto …) .. then I’m good!!
Sounds like the perfect breakfast stop! Can’t wait to try the crepes.
It’s been a long time since I’ve had a crepe. I’m looking forward to trying one.
