Inn Town Campground, Nevada City

It’s summer in Nevada City and we’re very exciting about the upcoming camping season at the Inn Town Campground.  If you haven’t heard about the new serviced campground in downtown Nevada City, go check out the website for more information.  As the owners of the Outside Inn we are excited to offer additional accommodation to our community.  Campers can pitch their own tent, bring a RV (full hook ups available) or stay in one of fully furnished canvas glamping tents.  We’re opening July 1st and are busy getting the final touches completed on a nearly 3 year project.  To see more behind the scenes fun, feel free to follow us along on Instagram or Facebook.  Check out the latest Inn Town Campground blog post for the next tour date, some exciting press coverage (hello Sunset magazine!) and a video of some of the final construction projects.  Since I love giveaways on the InnSide Nevada City blog, post a comment here and tell me why you want to go camping and I’ll give one lucky blog reader a $50 gift certificate to the Inn Town Campground, as my way of saying things for all your support.  Winner will be announced on Friday, June 24th.

I have already booked a site for August to celebrate my grandsons first birthday. So excited for a venue when we can all enjoy the outdoors and other amenities including a first train ride for Asher.

My husband and I love camping. With his busy schedule with cal fire we don’t go as often as we would like but we are hoping to change that since our little man arrived in January and we want him to love camping too!

I don’t even remember how I came across your Instagram (probably tagged by my sis) or how long ago that was, but watching you create this awesome space from the very beginning and fulfill your dream has been very inspiring. Thanks for sharing this journey!
I want to go camping because I did so much of it as a child and young adult, and those memories are some of my very best! Going camping with my husband is such a new thing for us. He went once as a child and his mother hated it. We went together for the first time last year and he loved it. In fact, we’re going again this weekend for his birthday. So my second reason is to create new memories with my husband.

I grew up here and rarely get to visit. The Inn Town Campground looks like the perfect place to visit home and glamp at the same time!

We booked our glamping tent right away when you opened reservations because they look so adorable! And we’ve never been glamping! We’ve been excited to camp here since my friend Megan M told me about it over a year ago- and that same weekend I ran into Dan somewhere on the Yuba and recognized your van as belonging to the campground I was told about! Anyway, if the site is half as cute as your Instagram- it’s going to be a spectacular get-away! Cheers to being so close to opening day!

Would love to camp at History Hill, I used to run Trolley Junction and rode the train up to the Chinese Cemetery many a time. Seeing you develop this location in such a beautiful way just warms my heart. Would love to do the luxurious tent camping, how fun. Thanks for all you have done for our community, you have moved us forward in an Eco-friendly way.

My husband is not a camper. You are close enough and with the tents, I feel comfortable camping on my own with my 10 year old son.

I feel that way too… and normally I like to camp where there’s no wifi, but the Inn Town Campground has wifi and cell coverage… so you’ll have to come and unplug by choice…

I love to camp because it’s a great way to get away from it all. To sit back and soak up nature.

I absolutely love camping! My boyfriend and I met camping 5 years ago and we just discovered Nevada City last weekend! We fell in love with Nevada City immediately and a camping trip would be a great reason to return!

I spent my summers camping in some surreal settings and have not managed to do it with my kids yet. Would love to start with outside inn’s campground! 🙂

Believe it or not, I have only been camping twice. Loved it both times. As my 25 year appreciation gift from work, I selected a tent. Inn Town Campground looks and sounds like the best place to break in my new tent before I retire 😉

So close to home, I am thinking I might be able to plan a girl’s camping weekend!

I grew up camping with my parents but never really did it with my own children; my parents mode was the only one I knew and it involved a LOT of “camping equipment”. I would love to share Nevada City with my girls in a way that is more organic and encourages being social! Thank you and best wishes on your new adventure
