Cascade Canal NID trail

Since we’re still having a mild winter in Nevada City, why not go for a hike?  The Outside Inn has a thorough selection of trail maps in our office, stop by for directions to some of our favorite trails. The Cascade Canal trail (or Banner Mountain/Gracie N.I.D. trail) is an easy 4.25 miles along the irrigation ditch.  Bring the dog, ride your bike or take a friend and catch up on the latest gossip.  If you’re looking for an extra challenge take the Orene Wetherall trail down .6 miles and then climb back up, brought to you by the Bear Yuba Land Trust.
