Bear Yuba Land Trust Celebration of Trails
With the warmer days, Nevada County Celebration of Trails Weekend is a great way to motivate to get outside and enjoy local trails.  Bear Yuba Land Trust kicks off the celebration with Ales for Trails Fundraiser, 5-8pm at Nevada City Ol Republic Taproom.  The 2nd annual Hike-a-Thon along the future trail Pines-to-Mines Trail in Nevada County, 10am to 12pm, Saturday, June 1st.  

In addition to the trail events, you can stop the Ol Republic Roadhouse (former 5 Mile House) on Highway 20 in Nevada City for a fun family-friendly trails day festival from 12pm to 5 p.m, with shuttle options by Yuba Bus or the Ol Republic Brewery Tap Room from 9am to 3pm.  Vendors this year include:  Gold Country Trails Council, Forest Trails Alliance, Yuba Trails Stewardship, Tahoe National Forest, Gold Crush Climbing Gym and Mountain Recreation.

Nevada City Classic

So, are you inspired to get outside and hit the trails?  There’s a lot of outdoor fun this weekend– Saturday hosts the Rotary Club Gold Country Cycling Challenge (road and gravel options) and Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race on Sunday, June 2nd and the Nevada City Mile (running race) and the Gold Country Trails Council Poker Ride (Saturday, June 1st).
