The Children’s Festival returns to Nevada City’s Pioneer Park this Friday, July 17th.  The one day Renaissance Fair has 2 sessions (9am-noon and 5-8pm).  The admission price of $3 includes arts & crafts, faeries, craftsmen, face painting, spinning, music, fencing demonstrations, magic show, Priate Skool and a fire-breathing dragon.  New craft this year: Bird Masks that the kids will color/decorate.  The first 500 families at each session will have an opportunity to get a Children’s Festival tote bag (suggested donation of $1).  Children of all ages are invited, costumes are encouraged.

And the winner of the Sierra Vintners Wine Tour giveaway is Yulia.

David is busy putting the finishing touches on the castle structure. If you know anyone who would like to have the painted castle when the Festival is over (they’d have to pick it up), let Karen Nelso know tomorrow. She’s the directo of the event.
