Classic Film Series, Grass Valley

Sierra Cinemas has brought back the Classic Movie Series as a fundraiser for the South Yuba River Park Association.  I’ve got two tickets to giveaway for the next screening, High Noon, showing at Del Oro on Monday, September 16th at 7pm and again at 1pm on Tuesday, September 17th.  The series’ goal is to raise awareness and funds to help with the repairs at Bridgeport.  The covered bridge at the South Yuba State Park is 150 years old and the longest single-span wooded covered bridge in the world.  If you miss High Noon you can check out It Happened One Night and Rebel Without A Cause later this month.  If you’d like to win tickets to the film screening please post a comment on this blog post about your favorite movie and I’ll draw the winner on Saturday, September 14th.  And the winner for the 2 tickets to Uncorked is Carla Bonetti.

So happy the Del Oro has brought back the classic film series. I’ve seen all these great films, but only on VHS or DVD, never on the big screen. Yay!
