LORE: The Art of Story

DANK’s new art exhibit “LORE: The Art of Story” in the Miners Foundry Osborn/Woods Gallery opens this weekend.  The collection of pieces opens at noon, Saturday, April 11th.  DANK (which is an acronym for Do Art Now Kids) includes:  Celine Adrianna NegreteRoseanne BurkeSheila CameronKathy FreyCynthia LevesqueMoira McLaughlin, Joe Meade, Nancy Nelson, Dylan Sherwood McConnell and Reinette Senum. Opening weekend festivities include Steffan Snell of Foxhound Espresso pouring coffee from 12-4 on Saturday.  The opening night reception will begin at 5:00 p.m., no-host bar featuring sangria and craft beer from Sierra Moonshine Home Brew Supplies, performance by Joe Meade at 7pm and live music by Halfpence & Haypenny at 8:00 p.m.  Past shows have been featured on the Outside Inn blog here and here.  If you can’t make it to the opening the gallery will be open Saturdays 10-2 and Wednesdays 11-2.  And look for upcoming “Wild Card” Sundays with specific events like erasure poetry meet ups, coloring clubs, coffee, music, story telling, check the DANK facebook page for more information.
