Emily’s Catering and Cakes
Emily’s Catering & Cakes recently opened their doors in Grass Valley, (421 Colfax Ave, where Summer Thyme’s use to be located). The dessert cafe is open Thursday-Sunday (Thursdays: 11am-6pm, Friday & Saturdays: 10am-7pm and Sunday: 10am-3pm) and welcomes you to stop by for a sweet treat or grab a cake and go. They’re serving Fable pour over coffee if you want to have coffee, with a limited selection of savoury items. Check out their Facebook page for weekly specials. The gourmet cupcakes range from chocolate/mint, Oreos and cream, red velvet with vanilla bean frosting, buttermilk with whipped cream. If you’re not in the mood for a cupcake try the homemade s’mores bar or a candied apple. The grand opening celebration is this Saturday, November 8th from 10am- 7pm. Would you like to win a gourmet cupcake? Post a comment on your favorite cupcake flavor and I’ll announce the winner on Wednesday, November 12th. The winners from last week’s All Things Pumpkin posts are Diane R (Treats ice cream) and Ingrid (An Honest Pie).

All things chocolate but I bet Emily will be making a Tiramisu cupcake. That will be my choice!
Buttermilk cupcake!?!? That sounds delish!
Now we all need a cupcake huh?
I think a salted carmel cupcake would be delicious!
Agreed!
I’m all about red velvet!!
Thanks Suzie, does South Pine serve any cupcakes? Pine Street Burgers Cupcake milkshakes? Red velvet is always a winner.
I love chocolate and whip cream
Can’t go wrong with chocolate.
How about peanut butter, chocolate AND salted caramel? Or, because Christmas is coming up, how about a fruitcake cupcake with bourbon/cream cheese frosting? I can’t be the only person in the world who loves fruitcake!
Loving your comments, shall we call you fruitcake now? Burbon cream cheese sounds delicious though…
hmmm…red velvet or buttermilk? If I cant decide, I guess I would have to get both 🙂
double yummm
I am a non-denominational cupcake eater. All flavors would be appreciated.
Love this… how appropriate for the election too. Way to be a team player.
Just saw on the “Chocolate of the Month Club” list that she’ll be making chocolate stout cupcakes with Irish buttercream frosting! Okay, that’s the one!
Sounds like you should ask Santa for the chocolate of the month club.
It all sounds delicious! Chocolate cupcakes are my favorite. Even better with some coconut flakes on top! Yum!
Agreed… great option.
Their food looks really yummy!! Can’t wait to visit. I think my favorite cupcake is a simple chocolate with vanilla buttercream frosting.
Sounds delicious… you could eat it with your pumpkin pie 🙂
Carrot cake with cream cheese frosting.
Chocolate cupcake with caramel filling,
chocolate ganache frosting and sprinkled with salt.
Oh…my…goodness… you’re not suppose to plant these seeds at lunch time. Now I’m hungry.
A good old fashion Lemon Cake with Chocolate Icing.
Rick’s Dessert Diner has this Lemon cake with lemon filling and lemon icing to just die for. If I spot this baby, I will take it over any of their chocolate cakes and that is pretty difficult, too.
A good fruit basket with vanilla icing is pretty darn tasty, too, I might add 🙂
Thank you very much for selecting me to be your Treats Ice Cream winner 🙂
And does cheese cake count?
Red velvet would be my pick! Yum!
Can my favorite cupcake flavor be cupcake? 😉 Although I’m always a sucker for chocolate, I love a good vanilla cupcake with buttercream frosting. I can’t wait to check out their new space.
