Encanto Jewels
Have you heard of Encanto Jewels? Monica Farbiarz, owner and designer, has been creating eco-friendly jewelry using Tagua, a seed from the Colombia, Ecuador and Brazil rainforests. Encanto Jewels recently moved their operations to downtown Grass Valley, if you’d like to see their new space check out their ribbon cutting ceremony on Tuesday, November 11th at 5:30pm. Their space in Grass Valley is their working studio, to buy directly from Encanto Jewels please contact them to make an appointment. While the business is mainly wholesale, you can purchase their jewelry online or stop by Being Green in downtown Nevada City. Or check out their Facebook page for updates and giveaways. Known for their high-quality, vibrant colors, and eco-friendly source Encanto jewelry is designed locally, but helps support the global economy by helping Columbian workers and the preservation of the rainforest. Interested in winning a pair of tagua earrings? Post a comment on this blog post and I’ll announce the winner on Saturday, November 15th.

I love the colors. Will have to check it out the next time we are up.
The the cool design and colors.
Being eco friendly and helping out people in a local community instead of some rich, corporate who only cares about how much of a bonus the executives are going to receive on the backs of everyone else is an added bonus.
Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.
I’ve know Monica for a few years and have always admired the pieces she is wearing; her own! I also notice her jewelry on others and know is it hers; it is unique and very colorful. Tagua is a versatile nut, many uses; I have buttons on a jacket which are beautiful, strong and made from a sustainable product!
Her designs look fun. Thanks for sharing – especially since she is selling out of another store.
I have not heard about the shop and look forward to meeting Monica and seeing all this beautiful new art. Love the earrings! Best Wishes, CiCi
beautiful earrings!
wow–I need to make sure they know about the Wild & Scenic Film Festival. I bet they’d love it! What fun jewelry.
I love their jewelry. I went in the other day and the jewelry is just beautiful.
Such glorious colors and shapes; I want to go play with Monicas’ jewels.
My niece works in the grass valley shop, I love this stone and the story behind it! Her initials are C.S.
I love Encanto!!!!
Monica’s work is so amazing! As a jewelry designer myself, I’m a bit of a jewelry junkie… those earrings would be great with my fall wardrobe!
so beautiful. I like the organic shapes with circles. And the colors!
