Fall Colors, Nevada CityFall… I already said it’s one of my favorite seasons, but I stopped to capture this tree on Nevada Street this morning and I figured I’d say it again, “I love fall color.”  (I have a feeling there may be more than one blog posts celebrating the color, just smile and nod if you don’t feel the same way as I do about the leaves turning).  What I love about Nevada City is that you get these bursts of color around town, but not all at the same time.  If you’re looking for some good fall color spots check out the walking tour map by the Nevada City Chamber.  I promise to keep sharing photos of my favorite trees as they change color (check my instagram account or the Inn’s Facebook page).  What’s your favorite local tree?Photos of Nevada City Autumn Fall Colors

I love the huge tree that’s on Willow Valley on the right just after you turn from Nevada Street. I’ve been told it’s a Liquid Amber, but unless a tree has a name tag I have no idea what it’s called. (Well, I can usually recognize a Madrone.)
