The 2018 Fall Colors Open Studios & Art Tours opens this Saturday & Sunday, October 13th and 14th. The event includes over 80+ artists in 54 different studios and continues the weekend of October 20th and 21st. You can check out all the individual artists’ locations on The Center for the Arts’ event page (scroll down below the map) or if you want to download the program. Don’t forget about the Artist Reception at the Ellu Gallery on Thursday, October 11th, 6-8pm. I love the opportunity to see inside the artists’ creative spaces and get a feel for how they create their work. It’s a great event to be able to interact with people and art lovers and a unique opportunity to connect with the artists. Make sure to check for information on live demos: wood turning, glass cutting, painting, jewelry making, pottery throwing, woodworkers, silk dyeing and stone carving, plus more. Are you planning on stopping in to say hi to your favorite local artists or discover someone new? Leave a comment and share your recommendations on must see stops.
