First Friday Art Walk
The 2015 Nevada City First Friday Art Walk season kicked off last night with a theme of CYCLES and fun throughout downtown. With 30 different spots on the map there was an opportunity to visit merchants, restaurants and pop up art galleries, while meeting artists and listening to music. Many thanks to the hardworking Art Walk committee for showcasing the arts while providing Nevada City with a lively and fun family friendly event. While I obviously couldn’t make it to every spot, those artists and locations showcased in this blog post include:
DANK at the Miners Foundry, Nevada City Winery, Elixart, Sarah Duarte at The Parlour at Nevo Co, Juliette Morris Williams at Spirithouse Import Gallery, Andrea Gunderson at The Phoenix Rose, Debi Savoy at The Earth Store, Betsy Lombard outside Asylum Down, Tor Erickson at The Alexander Gallery, Calanan Park pop up gallery (with a photo of A Bound Book), Katie Wolffe outside Nevada City Eats, Shiva Moon, Nick Vogt at Clavey Vineyards, Christie Stewart at J.J. Jackson, Eileen Sitko at Judi’s of Nevada City, Neighborhood Center for the Arts and Youth Arts Showcase on York Street. Many thanks to local musicians Dangerous Curves, George Cutter, Kris Johnson and String Sisters.
