Nevada City First Friday Art Walk July Declaration edition kicked off the 4th of July weekend with art, music, poetry readings, live art demonstrations, craft booths and more! While I didn’t make it to all 35 stops on the map, included are photos from:

Kathryn Wronski at Gray Goose, Forest Aliya and Lisa Stein playing the harp at Nevo Co, KitkitdizziJuliette Morris Williams at Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe, Sue McElligott  outside Asylum Down, Pascal Lacroix and Mike Snegg at The Alexander Gallery, craft vendors on Commercial Street (with a photo of A Bound Book),  Aaron Stewart at Clavey Vineyards, J.J. Jackson, Leslie Alcott at Judi’s of Nevada City, DANK at the Miners Foundry, Cody Painter at FoxHouse Espresso, Henry Goodman at Nevada City Winery, Deb Foxen at Matteo’s Public and LeeAnn Brook Fine Art pop up art gallery with works by Peggy Wright and Mike Snegg.

Many thanks to local musicians Paige Anderson and the Fearless Kin and Angelica Rochkne for rocking out on the Boardwalk.

Many thanks to the businesses and sponsors (KVMR, Treats, Three Forks, AJA Video Systems, Miners Foundry, Inn Town Campground and the California Art Council) and the hard work of the Art Walk Board for celebrating the arts.

Happy 4th of July, the parade will be in downtown Grass Valley this year, click here for photos from a pervious year, the festivities start at 11am.  And if you’re heading to the Fairgrounds for the fireworks, gates open at 3pm, entertainment starts at 4 and the fireworks are at 9:30pm.
