There’s nothing like good dark chocolate with a really good pinot.
I became a huge Pinot fan while living in Central Otago in New Zealand (a fabulous location for that wine)… and really, anything with chocolate is a good option.
I love chocolate with a fruity caberne! Last time I went to this event, I ended up at the Vernal Equinox celebration at Miners Foundry. What an adventurous day!!!
You always find the adventure my friend.
It’s a really great event that gives people the chance to try local wines without spending a day driving all over the county. If you haven’t been before, it’s worth the while to check out! Thanks for sharing Erin!
The foothills have so many great wines and food that it is very difficult to pick a favorite! The event is so amazing and I’m hoping to go this year! 🙂
Cheers! Sometimes it’s better not to choose…
I would love to go! How about zinfandel + fontinella + Sicilian green olives. Mmmm…
Another vote for olives… cheers my friend.
I love a slice of an excellent hard cheese with a good red wine. Simple, but OH so good!
Simple is always a good option, sometimes you want the wine to be able to stand on its own…
Mmm. I love a good pinot … with just about anything. 🙂 Thanks for the giveaway, Erin!
Cheers, I’m with you!
A Rib Eye with Pilot Peak Primito
The last time I went to the this event Carolines Coffee has a coffee rub on tri-tip… so you may be able to find this combo at the event? Cheers.
I don’t really do a lot of wine drinking so I would love to experience something new. I am game.
Well a wine tasting event is a great way to sample things you might try otherwise… and there’s food, so can’t go wrong there, right?
A buttery Chardonnay with a cheese platter. Yummy!
I tried one of the Lucchesi Chardonnay’s from the barrel a few years ago and buttery was a great way to describe it, nothing like the less expensive options. Yeah for cheese.
The most memorable for me is chocolate and port.
Chocolate and anything works for me.
Figs and a sweet white wine in the summer are pretty wonderful together!
Figs are one of those things I love when they’re in season, but always forget….
How about a yummy cherry pistachio biscotti from Three Forks and a nice glass of Blanc de Blanc sparkling wine from Nevada City Winery? My tastebuds are tingling….
You’re making me hungry too and I don’t even do sparkling wine….
I love a good Chardonnay with some roasted garlic and warm Brie served with French bread
I love that cheese is on here, I think wine and cheese are always a good match.
Smith Vineyard’s Riley’s Red with chocolate covered raspberries
What a perfect combo.
BYOB WELL ROOMED ORGANIC RED WINE
WITH WARMED GARLIC BREAD & OLIVE OIL…perhaps a dash of Cayenne ..ah…
“YES”
Warmed garlic bread… that sounds perfect. One year at this event I had The Owl’s warmed blue cheese bread, super tasty.
Yum! Love this event!
Cheers!
I love a good merlot with garlic stuffed olives!
Yum…
Love any wine with good food shared with great friends 🙂
Cheers my friend Lenka!
Such an amazing event. I am definitely looking forward to Saturday!
