Apothic red and goat cheese with crackers
Oh how I wish I could be there… I’ve been loving Townshend Vortex Red with a nice cheese- or with anything really!
Sounds like fun! Is it wrong to say my favorite is “Good food paired with good wine”? 🙂 How about some pesto pasta and a good Chianti.
I love to share a good bottle of red with my husband as we discuss our day over dinner, whatever that my be…
I’ll always remember the pleasant buzz of white zin and baked fish from 1985. Like candy for dinner.
Sounds delicious.
Pinot Noir and dark chocolate!
My kind of combo, cheers.
Mexican food and champagne. Actually champagne and anything but the bubbles are a great counterpoint to spicy food.
Hi,
This is a great promotion. I believe the map that is photographed in this post belongs to Placer County Wine Trail, not Sierra Vintners (one of the sponsors). The Sierra Vintners map is here: http://www.sierravintners.com/public/w41040/Sierra-Vintners-map-1-29-16.pdf
Our magazine (www.SierraCulture.com) is glad to be a sponsor too!
Cheers,
Thanks Jeff for the comment, yes, you’re correct. This photo was taken at the Foothills Celebration a couple of years ago with the tasting of Lone Buffalo Winery, which is in Placer County, so they had the maps out to show the folks attending the celebration where their winery is located.
I like a nice Cab with a Spencer steak!
Good bottle of Zin and extra cheesy lasagna…
heavy zin with a sharp cheese and then a refreshing dab of something green
Burritos .. but can’t have wine yet!
Bubbly dry white and goat cheese.
Sounds delicious.
Oh my….how do I pick just one combo? I do love a nice cheese and fruit plate with a good pinot grigio or port and dark chocolate 🙂 I also love all the combos served during this event. It is so fun!
I’m with you, why pick one? But I’ll take your pairing any day.
Burritos .. but can’t have wine yet!
I can’t drink either .. but my mom likes wine! I like chocolate!
