My favorite food and wine pairing is a red blend and chocolate! I won’t be able to attend the ball- can you pass the tickets onto the woman who commented it was her birthday that night!? A gift to her-
Love it! Will go email her now. Thanks!
Actually sparkling wine with anything. 🙂 Thanks for reminding us of this event. It should be fun!
Simple & fantastic – dark chocolate cake and a Zin, never fails. Can’t wait for this event, missed it the last few years!
Man… now that’s all I’m thinking about…. yum…..
There is nothing I like better than drinking a full bodied, earthy and fruity Petite Syrah with a black pepper encrusted, N.Y. Sirloin steak, raised on grass in our very own Nevada County!
You’re making me hungry…..
If it’s got bubbles in it, I’m drinking it; if it has chocolate on it, I’m eating it! I can’t wait!!!
Zinfandel and Risotto
Oh, easy…a goat cheese from Wheyward Girl Creamery and a Zinfandel from Sazbo! I haven’t attended this event before–thank you for posting about it, Erin! (Oh, okay, I wouldn’t turn down a piece of dark chocolate, either.)
I just opened a bottle of Sierra Starr’s “Jack’s Blend” and it was fabulous with homemade lasagna. Then again, a late harvest port with anything chocolate is to die for…guess I just love wine! I haven’t made any plans for March 3, so I’d really love tickets to attend this year’s Foothills Celebration! Thanks Erin – and I hope you’re staying dry! 🙂
Oops! No plans for March 4 either! lol
Wine and food. ❤️
Well you are easy to please!
Aren’t we fortunate to have so many wonderful choices in our area? Sounds like an awesome event!
I like a nice Cab with a spaghetti dinner!
Scallops and Chardonnay!
Too many great pairings to pick one but I do enjoy a nice red with chocolate anything!
Nevada City Barbera and anything!!!
A great red to good with a delicious pizza pie is always a hit with me! I LOVE pizza.
Zinfandel and any kind of food!
A good Zin with Curry Lamb. I also like it with any appetizer that has blue cheese
