Foxhound Espresso
Foxhound Espresso & Coffee Broasters, Nevada City’s newest coffee shop is now open for business on Spring Street. Many local coffee lovers know Steffen Snell and his coffee roasting business and involvement with Alchemy Collective Cafe, but now you can stop in his local coffee shop and enjoy his single origin coffee beans, grab a shot of espresso, latte or cold brew. The coffee shop, located at 317 Spring Street in between Sushi in the Raw and Nevada City Winery, is open 7 days a week, 7am-6pm on week days and 8am-6pm on weekends. Steffen referred to his addition to the coffee scene in Nevada City as a place that’s “passionately crafted and compassionately served coffee.” The grand opening party is this Saturday, August 1st, 7:30pm onwards with music by Brett Shady, Aaron Ross, Yumi and Cody Copeland. Now who wants to try some coffee? We’ve got 5 gift certificates for a free latte, post a comment about coffee (or something witty for Steffen) and I’ll announce the winners next Wednesday, August 5th.

The perfect day begins with a cup of fresh brewed coffee!☕️☕️☕️
Agreed, it’s often just the thought of that that gets me out of bed.
Love Love love his coffee! we serve it at TREATS and use his beans in our Coffee Broaster” Ice cream named in honor of Steffen
A match made in heaven! Together the affogato coffee is divine!
Coffee is a staple in our life. Local coffee tastes better!!
It’s amazing how local tastes better… especially when the person you serving you the coffee is also roasting the beans.
Treats espresso was my introduction to Broaster. Great stuff. Not looking back.
Coffee? One of my favorite Treat’s!
Coffee is my favorite addiction.
Looking forward to trying their coffee!
Love that great coffee is now just down the street from my new gallery (LeeAnn Brook Fine Art)…I plan on having cafe tables outside so that people can enjoy art and a great cuppa Jo!
I’m loving more options for Nevada City! I love trying alternate places. Everyone has their own take on coffee and I am looking forward to trying this place!
My blood type is coffee… can’t wait to try it!
Mmm. Coffee. Thanks for the giveaway!
looks awesome.
Finally I found my way here to leave this comment, was a bit of a struggle. Please, an iced espresso with half and half during this kind of heat; a reward for putting up with it!
Took me awhile also Randi-even though I’ve done it before.
Totally dig the vibe there- outside deck is sweet! OK, and my adorbs son, Miles Geenty works there:)
I LOVE coffee! Any organic?
Huzzah!
Best coffee in town according to my on-house expert. Only consistent donut supply too. Nice deck and cool art. Also nice to have on our side of town. Now we just need a coffee delivery zip line over the creek.
Ah, how fun. Hard to beat cold brew these days! And I spy a sprinkled donut in one of those pictures too…
Excited to try new great coffee! And donuts to?!? Thanks Erin for letting us know about it..we might try to stop by tomorrow on our way back onto town.
I love that Steffen understands my need for a donut within walking distance. Plus the deck is awesome!
Looks like an awesome place to check out in Nevada City! Can’t wait to check it out!
Looks absolutley java-licious! Glad another coffee shop is opening up and look forward to trying it out real aoon!

Great coffee. I enjoy buying the locally roasted coffee beans. It supports my coffee habit as well as small businesses. Win, win.
More coffee? You don’t have to twist my arm to try it. Can’t wait!
