Grass Valley Wine Harvest

Gold Country Wine Tasting offers visitors and locals a lot of options, but at this time of the year it’s an extra special treat to go out to some of the vineyards and help celebrate their recent grape harvest. Today Smith Vineyard opened their red barn to visitors and welcomed folks to stop in, sample some wine, bring a picnic, pick a pumpkin and listen to some music. Thanks to their community support of Domestic Violence and Sexual Assault coalition, 20% off all wine profits were donated to the local organization. Sierra Starr Vineyard, also in Grass Valley, offered up step by step information on the recent harvest and fermentation process, thanks Jack & Phil for information.
