Grass Valley Brewing Co and Roost GV
Have you been to Grass Valley Brewing Co? Open 7 days a week with 12 craft beers on tap brewed on site, the 7,000 square foot brewery in downtown Grass Valley (141 E. Main Street, near the post office) is the first Grass Valley brewery since the Prohibition. You can always try a flight, beers on tap will always include: Brunswick Blonde, Grateful Haze, Nevada County Strong or one of the many rotating options including: Godfather Amber, Brewmunity chocolate coffee porter (a partnership with Carolines Coffee). They had their soft opening earlier this summer and recently added expanded hours and lunch service. In addition to beer, local wines, non-alcoholic options, GV Brewery has partnered with Roost Grass Valley to provide handmade elevated pub food. Brought to you by the owners of Jernigan’s in Nevada City, Roost has locally sourced, high quality food. Try the gluten free friend chicken or the Charcuterie & Cheese Board (Framani Toscano, Framani Calibrase, Niman Ranch Prosciutto, Humboldt Fog cheese, Point Reyes bleu cheese, pear, honey, whole grain mustard, spent grain crackers). Chad Wingo, one of the owners of Grass Valley Brewery, feels that they’re “a steward of the space and passionate about being a part of downtown Grass Valley.” He also reminded folks that the warehouse side of the Brewery is family and dog friendly. To celebrate the Outside Inn’s blog has a giveaway, post a comment here and one lucky winner will receive two branded pint glasses and a growler, winner will be announced Monday, November 5th. *Edited to say the winner is Elenita Duelo.

Looks like fun.
Thanks for keeping us up to date on all of the new restaurants in the area.
We have enjoyed numerous visits and beers at the brewery and look forward to trying the food!
We’ve been meaning to get there – thanks for the delicious sounding reminder 🙂
We’re so excited to have GV Brewing in downtown!
GV Brew is a great place to meet friends & have a beer! There are many to choose from and are good brews! The food at the Roost is yummy; fries, salads, chicken! The owners & bartenders are friendly & want their customers to be happy!
I haven’t been yet, but it always looks busy when I walk by. I definitely need to stop by.
Looks like a great place to meet for lunch!
Beer me.
To think 20 years ago we had one brewery, Nevada City Brewery on Bost Ave. NOW wow what choices!!
I had their Blonde Ale and loved it. I’m going to get that charcuterie board from Roost next time I visit.
Awesome!! And I even see there are 2 IPA’s in the photo!! Yehhhhh
I’d love to check it out! Especially before I begin some gluten free cleanse like i say i’m going to!!
I remember hearing about Grass Valley Brewing but forgot when they opened, thank you for the reminder. I’m excited to check this place out and see what kind of food they have to offer! Always fun to try somewhere new…seems like a fun atmosphere.
Love the vibe there, can’t wait to try the food!
I’ve sampled their beers, and need to try the food. It’s good to have another brew pub in the area.

I love GV Brewing!!! My favorite beer is the Haze Lifter. Mmmm.
Looking forward to dropping by this brewery soon. A great addition to the downtown area.
Been wanting to go, thanks for the informative post.
Every time we’ve gone camping we have made an attempt to get over to the brewery but have been unsuccessful. It sure looks and sounds great (you had me at brewery). Maybe we’ll try a little harder on our December camping trip.
Yeah for this! Cant wait to check this out !
WooHoo! We love GVBC!
So much good beer and food in our cute lil town! I love the vibe in GVBC and their brew Grateful Haze is really exceptional.
I love this new addition to downtown Grass Valley! I’ve been there for the brews but they weren’t serving food at the time. Thanks for letting me know that it’s time to go back and try it out!
Although I don’t get out of Nevada City much it looks like I have a reason to make the long haul to Grass Valley.
