Gray Goose on Broad Street is one of those shops that you go inside looking for something in particular and you find 10 others things you didn’t realize you needed. Stuey stocks the shop full of eclectic and humorous items, ranging from bags, mugs, jewelery, cards, Day of the Dead speciality items, books, toys, gag gifts and much, much more. You can often find someone reading the greeting cards and giggling up a storm. Check out the new RL Crabb Nevada City t-shirts and totes. Gray Goose is open 7 days a week at 230 Broad Street in between Nevada City Chocolate Shoppe and Abstrakt. Need an excuse to go shopping? I love bringing someone there who hasn’t been before-it always involves BIG laughs. They also have the cutest and funkiest kid stuff!
I love that you find the spectator sport of watching other people enjoy Gray Goose, that sounds like something I would do.
My family and I LOVE Gray Goose because we don’t have to think about where to go for birthday gifts—->Gray Goose! The items seem to reflect Stuey’s personality, which is super colorful, fun and cool! She wraps the gifts beautifully, making grabbing a kid’s b-day gift easy on-the-go. Or, we’ll pick a useful, stylish, and reusable bag to present the gift in, you know the kind made from tarps with personalized, beautiful prints. Stuey is a real gem, and makes the experience fun and interactive. Only problem — hard not to buy for myself.
Perfect place to pick up a gift for a college student, radical friend, or just if you want to “shake up” the gift giving at birthday parties. And the owner has a cool dog too!

It is a fun quirky store – you never know what you’ll find. I love browsing.
One of the stops on my downtown tour whenever I have company from out of town. I also love the selection of laugh-out-loud greeting cards.

The glow-in-the-dark jellyfish in the window caught my eye one night…and when I asked how it worked, “magic” was the answer – ha!
