Cornish Christmas
Hello December! Cornish Christmas in downtown Grass Valley continues tonight from 6-9pm, if you missed last week don’t worry the outdoor street fair continues for the next couple weeks (December 4th, 11th and 18th). The event includes merchants, artists and food trucks through out Mill Street and part of Main Street. In addition the stores are open for holiday shoppers. “Our store theme is Enchanted and we have an Enchanted chai tea blend that ties in with the season. The stores are open to thaw out in between outdoor explorations,” said Cult of the Gemini owner Kathy Frey. Carolines Coffee will have their holiday drinks ready, Fable Coffee is selling Hot Apple Cider plus all their hot beverages and you can always grab a pastie from Marshall’s Pasties. The downtown Grass Valley wine tasting rooms are open and invite you to join them, click here for some holiday wine ideas. You can also listen to the Grass Valley Cornish Carol Choir, watch the Tommyknocker Cloggers and get a photo opp with Santa Claus. Nevada City Victorian Christmas kicks off on Sunday afternoon (click here or here for past years photos). Love the holidays! I think the Cornish Xmas dates are 4,11,18, not the 10th and 17th! Just in case people wanted to go and don’t show on the wrong day :). Thanks for the ideas on what to do there, now I want hot apple cider!!!

Cornish and Victorian Christmas events are the highlights of the holiday season here. I have to say, I prefer the Sunday afternoons at Victorian Christmas – not as dark. 🙂
