Halloween Parade
Nevada City Halloween Parade was a hit for its first annual event down Broad Street. I loved that the community came out in costume to show support, whether it was on a float from Curious Forge, Nevada City Chamber of Commerce, Jazzercise, Peaceful Valley or Utopian Stone, or the eager children on the sidewalks. For those of you who have never experienced Halloween (click here for some photos of the Outside Inn’s haunted pathway and infamous Nevada City haunted house), it’s really a scene to experience in person. I’m not sure how to describe the wall to wall people, the over the top decorations, the neighbors providing mulled wine or the general small town energy. I asked folks on the Outside Inn’s facebook page if anyone had any guesses on how many pieces of candy we gave away last night and the closest guess was by Holly at Carolines Coffee with 2642 (the answer was approximately 2600). The streets were filled with people out enjoying the Halloween energy, did you stop by the Outside Inn? Click here for a link to a video of some of the fire dancing at the haunted house. What was your favorite part of the night?
