Hirschman’s Pond Trail
While I’m still dreaming of winter weather, why not get outside and enjoy an outdoor adventure? The Outside Inn loves to help both locals and visitors get out and explore. Two of the most popular options from the motel are the Deer Creek Tribute Trail and the Hirschman Pond Trail. Both options are accessible on foot from downtown Nevada City and can vary in length from 45 minutes to 2 hours depending on how far you go. If you’re unfamiliar with either of these trails feel free to stop by the office for a free map. We took a stroll up to Hirschman Pond over the weekend and were delighted to see folks out walking their dogs, taking photographs, pushing strollers and just soaking up the sunshine. Love Hirschman Pond! Never too crowded and a quick walk you can get in even after work. I also like the Cascade Canal trail for running/biking – a little wider and nicely shaded on a warm day 🙂
Thanks Jenny, I love that you can walk to Hirschman Pond from town… and the guests from the motel have the chance to walk through the historic cemetery, which is fascinating.
