Holidays 2020
The holidays may look and feel different this year, but now more than ever it’s worth taking the time to get into the festive spirit. Each of us know in our heart that the frenzy of shopping malls and endless holiday parties is not what makes the holidays special, but rather it is the memories and traditions that we create with those closest to us.
It’s been a rough year and we all deserve the opportunity to take these final weeks of 2020 to catch our breath and savor what makes living in Nevada County so wonderful – the people, our local businesses, the natural beauty that surrounds us, and a community that looks out for one another. We can continue to support each other.
When doing your shopping, purchase something from a local store or artist for your loved ones this holiday season. When you want to treat yourself, get takeout from one of our restaurants. They need the business, and they’re happy to serve you excellent, fresh food. And don’t forget that you can get gift cards to spread the love to them, and your favorite recommendations to friends and family.
By supporting each other and shopping — and eating — locally, Nevada County will come out of this better prepared to come together when it’s safe to do so, and we can all raise a glass to the community we love.
