I heart photos

I’m a visual person who loves looking at the world through a photographic perspective.  The Visual Storytelling Workshop earlier this month was a great exercise for me to think about why photos are important to me and how I use them to help create the story about both the Outside Inn, the Inn Town Campground and the community we call home.  This month, one of my goals has been to express gratitude and I wanted to take a moment, from my normal blog agenda, and thank Andrew, from Think Tank Photo, for reaching out to me and gifting me the camera bag in these photos.  With Valentine’s Day this month it’s great time to celebrate the love, so thanks to everyone who has taken the time to say “thanks,” it means a lot to me.  Thanks Lenka, from Lenkaland Photography, for stopping in at the Outside Inn to capture me in my element yesterday.  And because I’ve gotten a lot of questions about Instagram, I’ve decided to do another workshop with the Nevada City Film Festival Visual Storytelling series, so mark your calendars for Tuesday, March 8th from 5:30-7:30pm, click here for tickets.  We’re going to start with the basics and build from there.  If you don’t follow me along on Instagram you can check out the Outside Inn, Inn Town Campground and Visit Nevada City for more information.  And the winner of last week’s BYLT Trail Cards set is Areta.

This goes perfectly with my goal to learn more about Instagram this year!!! A visit to Outside Inn, participate in a learning opportunity and…a write off….wooohoooo! Are cameras necessary? I do most of my posting from my phone…

I’ve been bitten by the photography bug! Your workshop was fantastic. I’d love to hear more about what you plan on doing.
