Ike’s Quarter Cafe

Nevada City, Ikes Quarter Cafe, Breakfast and Lunch Restaurant

Ike’s Quarter Cafe in the spring time is one of those magical places where you just have to sit outside under the Cherry tree and experience.  The Louisiana cuisine restaurant has been “Keepin it Creole” since 2001 and serving up breakfast and lunch to lots of locals and visitors.  You can check out their menu online, but I’d recommend the Banana Brown Sugar and Pecan French Toast or the BBQ Ham and Cheddar Melt.  Ike’s uses locally sourced organic ingredients and has options for gluten-free, vegetarian and vegan options.  Open Wednesday through Monday 8am-3pm, please note that they only accept cash.  If you’ve got a photo of their Cherry Tree you want to share the deadline for the photo contest is April 4th, check out their Facebook page for more details.  What’s your favorite dish?  When you stop by Ike’s this weekend please tell them the Outside Inn sent you. There is still time for my giveaway to tonight’s “The Real” art event at Off Center Stage, click here for all the details.

You really know it’s spring when Ike’s tree is in bloom. I’ve recently discovered their potato dishes – lots of things stuffed into a baked potato. I forget what they are really called on the menu… but they are good!
