Jim Rogers Memorial Bike Ride
A beautiful day in Nevada City today provided 150 riders the opportunity to gather and show their support for Jim Rogers, a well known local cyclist and one of the founders of the Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop who died in 2010 while riding his bicycle. The 4th annual commemorative ride hopes to bring attention to the dangers of using cell phones while driving. The ride started from the Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop and rode the LeMond Loop, out Newtown Road. “A lot of people came to together for the ride, definitely showcasing our town local community spirit,” said Kurt Stephens. The lunch afterwards benefited YBONC and all left over food was donated to the Hospitality House.
