Jim Rogers Memorial ride

A cold misty Saturday did not deter the 150 riders who came out to remember fellow cyclist Jim Rogers, who was killed two years ago on Hwy 174 by a passing motorist while riding his bicycle.  The group rode en mass to remember one of the founders of the Nevada City Classic race and ride for road safety for cyclists.  Riders ranged from elite race riders to kids riding with their parents.  It was a great gathering of community spirit.  Many thanks to the Tour of Nevada City Bike Shop for organizing this special event.
