Kodo Arts and Open Studios Tour
Kodo Arts Warehouse is about to open its doors for its bi-annual warehouse sale, timed to coincide with the Fall Colors Open Studios Tour through out Nevada City and Grass Valley. Doors open at 10am on Saturday and the warehouse will showcase and sell unique and individual Japanese antiques, art and textiles for the next 9 days. Jake Costello jokes that it’s like his own personal museum, each piece individually selected from auctions in Japan. The Center for the Arts proudly orchestrates a large selection of different artists in 34 different studios to help showcase some of Nevada County’s colorful and vibrant art scene. “I was lucky enough to be the person to install the preview show at The Center for the Fall Colors Open Studios Tour – 67 artists in a wide variety of mediums and genres for sale at affordable prices – I encourage everyone to see the works by the talented visual artists who live in our communities. We truly live in a special place!” says Julie Baker, Executive Director of The Center for the Arts. The free tour takes place October 6th and 7th and October 13th and 13th.
