Lazy Dog Chocolateria

Lazy Dog Chocolateria is now open in downtown Grass Valley.  They opened their doors today at 111 Mill Street and will be open seven days a week from 10am to 9pm.  Stop in for some chocolate, ice cream or candy.  My product testers were thrilled with the ice cream and their favorite flavors being pumpkin pie, chocolate and strawberry.  Bob and Deb Peterson are excited to be back in a brick and mortar location after years on the road in their pink truck.  To help celebrate their grand opening they’ve offered up a giveaway of an ice cream sundae.  Please post a comment on this blog post on your favorite ice cream flavor and I’ll draw the winner on Thanksgiving.

Uh oh….and now they’re in my ‘hood. I’m thinking “german chocolate” for my b’day (12/31.) Also…choco-botanical facials. Perhaps paired w/coconut oil, strawberries??? I’ll pop by the new shop and see what we can cook up together. Thx. Erin!

Lazy Dog Ice Cream Sandwiches are dreamy. Yes I said it – DREAMY! I hope the pink truck continues to make its rounds in the summer. Nothing brings back childhood memories like buying sweet treats from an ice cream truck.

My daughter and I agree: STRAWBERRY. My son is more of a mint chip guy these days. But EVERYONE agrees about Lazy Dog’s italian ice. We literally have never been able to pass one up when we see them. When we go to events, someone in the family is often heard saying “Lazy Dog ices will be there!!!” I hope we can get them at this shop!

Just a few weeks ago my boys were saying they wished they could get Lazy Dog in the middle of winter. We all are so excited to see them downtown! We even have their book called “Sidecar Scooter”, about that cute Dalmatian dog and his owners who open up an ice cream shop. Yeah!
