Local jazz singer and songwriter Leta Gibney is hosting a CD release party this Thursday, February 4th at The Crazy Horse Saloon, 6:30-9pm, no cover, families welcome. Some of you may remember Leta’s Blues, a regular act at The Five Mile House with Jacob Aginsky and their Acid Lounge, down tempo trip hop jazz. The release is her second EP with Jacob Aginsky on keys, mini keys, beats and bass. Leta and Jacob’s new CD is titled “Leta EP #2” and will be available for purchase, as well as their first CD “A New Order.” Thursday night Leta will be joined by long time friend and collaborator Lauren Avery on guitar. Lauren and Leta grew up together and have been performing and recording music for years. Recently they have been experimenting with some old school roots reggae and will release “Live from Rough and Ready” and “Live from Camptonville” where they played an impromptu set with drummer Isaac James.
