Make Local Habit and Kiya’s Naturals

Make Local Habit and Kiya’s Naturals opened up a new location in downtown Nevada City.  Located at 241 Commercial Street, next door to Heartwood Cafe, the smaller Nevada City retail location offers a mix of upcycled eco fashion, wooden toys, pottery, jewelry, art, skincare, local wood furniture and more.  Open Wednesday-Saturday 11am-6pm and Sundays from 12-4.  Kiya Rios and Aria Griffis are excited to bring their collaboration to Nevada City.  “We feel like this will provide Nevada City shoppers an opportunity,” explained Aria.  “The new shop will host some of our locally handmade favorites as well as some new and exciting products,” said Kiya.  Local artists on display at the moment include: Ursula Young, Third Hand Studios, Blue Sage Honey, Moonrise Creek, plus a wide selection of Kiya’s Natural Waldorf inspired toys and Aria’s succulents.  You can visit either location (122 Mill Street, Grass Valley) to check out local artists, Grimms toys, books and more.  To welcome Make Local Habit and Kiya’s Naturals to Nevada City we’ve got a giveaway, please post a comment and I’ve got a $40 gift certificate to give away, winner will be announced on Friday, February 23rd.  *Edited to say the winner is Gayle Sheeks.

I’ve found some fun, novel, artsy items in the Grass Valley store, so having a new location in Nevada City is great. And it means their business is doing well, which is wonderful–congratulations!
