First Friday Art Walk
Nevada City First Friday Art Walk has returned for its second summer. If you missed last night’s event don’t worry, mark your calendars for June 6th, July 11th, August 1st, September 5th, October 3rd. The kick off event included an open mic on the Nevada City Boardwalk, artist receptions by local artists and fun and games for the kids on “Kidz Alley” on York Street. I have photos of Eileen Blodgett’s “In the Cards” at J.J. Jacksons, The Parlour at Neva Co, Kathryn Wronski in Gray Goose, Virginia Ray at Phoenix Rose, Jerianne Van Jijk at Nevada City Winery, Enid and Edgar Vintage, HAALo, Mowen Solinisky Gallery, plus Kitkidizzi reception for Linda Galusha with Alicia Funk Living Wild wild treats. The Outside Inn sponsored the Chalk It Up on York street, next to the Giant Jenga, face painting and arts projects sponsored by Treats. Many thanks to Cynthia Levesque and her amazing committee of volunteers for transforming downtown Nevada City into a thriving art scene for the evening.
