Movies Under the Pines
The Nevada City Film Festival Movies Under the Pines outdoor movie screening continues this weekend with back to back movies. Friday night (July 8th), Back to the Future will be screening at the Nevada County Fairgrounds and Saturday night (July 9th) Edward Scissorhands will show at Pioneer Park. Gates will open at 7:30pm, screening at sunset (approximately 8:30), bring a lawn chair, the family and enjoy an evening outside. The film festival brings in state of the art projection and sound to create an outdoor movie theatre on the grass at each venue. Before each screening NCFF curates a special pre-show that includes screening local filmmakers works, movie trivia with fun festival prizes, and other events specific to each screening. Beer, wine, popcorn, and soft drinks available for purchase. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks allowed. Outside alcoholic beverages prohibited. Blankets and low back chairs are suggested. Movies Under the Pines is presented by the Nevada City Film Festival, City of Nevada City and the Nevada County Fairgrounds. Don’t miss this opportunity to spend time with the family, enjoy the great outdoors, and share in good times and fun. Please join us in Movies Under the Pines. The series concludes with The Goonies (August 27 @ Pioneer Park). Tickets are $7 for adults, $5 for children, available at the gate.

This is a great idea!
Erin,
This sounds like fun. What is the entire schedule of shows? Are there more in July?
Thank you for the post
Hi Paul, you can click on the link above for the NC Film Festival events page, but tonight and the one at the end of August are the final ones.
