Music in the Mountains SummerFest
The Cirque de la Symphonie performance for the Music in the Mountains SummerFest was a performance that appealed to all ages. Aerial flyers, acrobats, contortionists, dancers, jugglers, balancers, and strong men performed near or above the full orchestra. Many thanks to Be on Fire Tribe for showing the kids some hula hoop tricks before the show and Beaucoup Chapeaux for warming up the crowd. Music in the Mountains SummerFest continues through July 5th, if you missed the first week of concerts and events. There’s still time to either check out this weekend’s Arts Festival, upcoming pop up concert, Classical Series, Conrad Tao, Happy Birthday America outdoor concert (click here for photos from last year’s event) or Storm Large from Pink Martini. It was great to see the first annual arts festival, a collaboration with Nevada County Arts, thanks to those artists on display, those giving demos and the musical entertainment. For a full list of artists on display, click here. Food trucks at the last night’s Concert under the Stars included Lazy Dog ice cream, An Honest Pie and Smiley Guys. Have you been to a concert or event? Post a comment and share your favorite one from this year or years past.
