Music in the Mountains SummerFest is in full swing.  This year the 2 week long concert series is taking place in Penn Valley’s Gateway Park Pavilion.  The sprawling 87-acre park includes a 3,500-square-foot stage pavilion, picnic and lawn areas.  To see the listing of the remaining 12 concerts, click here.  There’s still time to hear American Classics: Gershiwn’s An American In Paris, an evening with Judy Collins, Russian Fireworks! 1812 Overture & more, The Music of Beach Boys and Patriotic Pops.  If you’re interested in having a bite to eat check out the online menu by Chef Antonio Ayestarian or sample the the wood-fired oven by Bella Familia Pizza or Buffalo Boys BBQ.  You can also sample the 35th Anniversary Cocktail (whiskey sour) or a cold beer from Ol Republic, local and regional wines can be purchased by the glass or by the bottle as well as non-alcoholic drinks.  “The new venue has allowed MIM to expand its programming and patron amenities,” explained Executive Director Dr. Mieko Hatano. “We are able to offer more premium table seating to our patrons to make SummerFest more comfortable, more festive with new food and drink options, and a truly magical musical.”  Concerts continue till Sunday, July 3rd, enjoy the show.
