NEVA CO, Artisan Boutique
NEVA CO Artisan Boutique recently opened its doors on Broad Street in downtown Nevada City. The locally made gifts range from jewelry, household items, greeting cards and more. Owner Cythnia Leseque has an artist friendly arrangement to help support the growing artist community. Monthly craft workshops, keep tabs on her facebook page for updates, please tell her the Outside Inn sent you. And since the Innside Nevada City blog has been having so much fun with giveaways NEVA Co has offered a beautiful handmade necklace (see below) to one lucky reader. Please post a comment on this blog post about your favorite hand crafted item and I’ll pick a winner next Wednesday, June 13th. While the shop is all local items, non-locals welcome to post a comment and I’ll mail the necklace to the winner, but please feel free to post an extra comment if you are local and do stop in to visit NEVA Co in the next week. And the lucky winner of the two tickets to see Gamelan Sekar Jaya at the North Columbia School House is Maria Ryan.

My favorite handcrafted items are these lovely handmade cards I get from my sister every so often. They have character and charm and are always personalized!
Outside Inn sent me via facebook. I do not live near your wonderful Boutique.
But, I would like to win your necklace to give to me my mom, whose name is “Neva.”
As a jewelry lover, I’m always drawn to handmade items.
I always love handmade cards & paper goods, but that necklace is very cool!!! What fun!
Love this shop!
I was excited to visit this shop when I ready about it in the NC Advocate; I think we went to HS with Cindy, and love that she has started this business. We need to promote/support local and sustainable as much as possible. I can’t wait to check it out!
I love to jewelry that is hand made with everyday items, like buttons! This store seems like they that the odds and ends of items and turn them into beautiful art work. What a unique necklace, i love the buttons and the white flower that looks like it might of been part of a hair clip at some point. Can not wait to check out the store when we visit!!!
I went to Nevada city a few month ago,,,love the city love your store,,outside inn send me via facebook,,,I would love to win the beautiful neckles ,,,,,,by the way I make card,, too…but for operation write home…
my favourite hand crafted item – is the beatiful cards I receive from my friend Erin – always lovely to open the letterbox and find a card all the way from the USA. The time that goes into a hand made and posted letter are appreciated 🙂
I’m coming to Nevada City this week–I subscribe to the blog because I love it and watch it from afar. I LOVE that necklace and will be sure to stop in and see Neva Co when I come–I’ll be there a week and Erin’s blog always gives me ideas of what’s new and what to see. Would love to win the necklace and wear it myself.
Nothing better than a handmade – with love – piece of jewelry re-purposed and vintage! Super excited to have another useful and thoughtful store in downtown Nevada City – thank you for making our little town that much better and thank you to the InnSide for highlighting these local jewels!
My favorite hand made thing was always the wild rice casserole my Grandma Lou made. I miss her…
Can’t wait to check out this shop in person! The necklace is lovely!
My favorite handmade item I have is a pair of Christmas angel ornaments that were handmade by one of my aunts many, many years ago. My Mom gifted me with them because she knew how special they were to me.
I’m very local!
Wow…that looks like a shop that is totally calling my name:) Fav handcrafted item? hmmm…maybe cards…but I love jewelry too!
Wow! Wish I was local…the shop looks absolutely gorgeous and the necklace is so feminine and beautiful! Thanks so much for the chance to win! My favorite handcrafted item would have to be cards :)!
I’m seeing lots of fun items, but my favorite by far are the button earrings!!! Very original 🙂
When last in NevCo I couldn’t stop staring at the purses Cynthia made, super fun and hip fabric, I love the shapes too.
I love the old photograph cards — would like to do a LOT of Christmas shopping up there!
Most often the handmade crafts that catch my eye are the ones that mix mediums and old and new together. But, I have to say the ones I currently love the most are the ones my mom makes for my daughter Ciara. recently she returned home form their long stay in Mexico. She had spent hours knitting this vibrant fuzzy pink bear with a multi color scarf. Her name is Rosa and Ciara sleeps with her every night. Every time I see Rosa she makes me smile!
Love the feature on NevCo! and to see my collage in the photo? What a wonderful surprise. Someone purchase it the other day so that was another surprise. Check out this amazing local artisians shop when you are in the area, you’ll love it.
