The Nevada City Bicycle Classic Race raced through the streets of downtown Nevada City for the 51st year in a row.  The 1.1 mile course is considered one of the most challenging one day courses in the US.  Year after year cyclists from around the world come to our small little town to take part in event, the second-oldest race in the nation.  Congratulations to all of the cyclists who took part in the event, and a special cheer to competitors Rick Bradley, Dominic Giampaolo, Arthur Rand and John Bolton, Motorcycle Referee, who stayed at Outside Inn for the event.  Click here for more photos from this year’s race.

Check out this fabulous clip from the 1961 Nevada City Bicycle Classic, you can even see the Outside Inn back in its Airway Motel days.

Hello! My name is Hannah and I would like to say that you have a very nicely laid out blog. I was wondering if we would be able to use your picture of the Nevada City Bicycle Classic 2011 for a DVD that is being produced. The DVD is presented in a seminar style. If you could get back to me promptly, that would be very much appreciated. My email is hannah@coad.net and my phone number is (208) 755-2265. Thank you!
