Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race
The 54th annual Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race tore through the streets of historic downtown Nevada City today. The annual Father’s Day race challenges even the most elite of cyclists as the criterium race winds around 7 turns over 1.1 miles and approximately 300 feet of elevation gain, per lap. Congrats to all the cyclists, top awards for the men went to Walton Brush, Torey Philip and Chris H Dee and the top female riders were Katie Hall, Kathryn Donovan and Alison Tetrick. Congrats to local Ryan Vanderleun for his top finish in the Cat 3/4. For a full list of the results, click here. It is very impressive to sit at the Outside Inn and watch the riders speed past our cheering squads, even if we’re all just sitting eating free lemonade and cookies. What was your favorite part about the event, leave a comment and share.

So inspiring to watch such strong athletes!
This was the first time I have seen the race and I enjoyed seeing cyclists going by. Enjoyed eating at Leftys also!
