Nevada City Classic
The 56th annual Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race tore through the streets of historic downtown Nevada City. The annual Father’s Day race challenges even the most elite of cyclists as the criterium race winds around 7 turns over 1.1 miles and approximately 300 feet of elevation gain, per lap with speeds up to 50 miles per hour. Congrats to all the riders, top awards for the men went to Jason Saltzman and the fastest female rider was Diane Moug. It is very impressive to sit at the Outside Inn and watch the riders speed past our cheering squads. Many thanks to the Nevada City Chamber, Duane Strawser from the Tour of Nevada City Bicycle Shop and all the volunteers who help make the event happen. What was your favorite part about the event, leave a comment and share. And the winner of the Grass Valley Games giveaway is Josh Freidenfelt, and if you missed the giveaway to the Inn Town Campground, click here.
