Nevada City Classic

The 57th annual Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race tore through the streets of historic downtown Nevada City.   The annual Father’s Day race challenges even the most elite of cyclists as the criterium race winds around 7 turns over 1.1 miles and approximately 300 feet of elevation gain, per lap with speeds up to 50 miles per hour.  Congrats to Chris Riekert from Mike’s Bikes for your impressive finish in the Men’s Pro. Congrats to all the riders and spectators who braved the heat to participate in the long-standing Nevada City event.   It is amazing to sit at the Outside Inn and watch the riders speed past our cheering squads.  Many thanks to the Nevada City Chamber and all the volunteers who help make the event happen.  What was your favorite part about the event, leave a comment and share.
