Nevada City Classic Cycling Race
The 53rd annual Nevada City Classic Bicycle Race tore through the streets of downtown Nevada City today. The annual Father’s Day race challenges even the most elite of cyclists as the criterium race wides around 7 turns over 1.1 miles and approximately 300 feet of elevation gain, per lap. The well established race is the second oldest cycling in the US and the oldest in the West. Congrats to Leece, Kilun and Hornbeck for their top 3 finishes in the Men’s Pro field, while Elle Anderson took the top honors in the women’s race. The Outside Inn continued to please spectators by giving away free lemonade and cookies. Congrats to all the talented cyclists who participated in this year’s event. What’s your favorite part about this Nevada City event?
