Just when I was wondering when it starts, pop, in my in box with the answer
Thanks Ruth, sometimes I’m spot on, sometimes I’m racing to the finish, but can’t wait for the summer market season, always a great community gathering.
I love the community at the farmer’s market – it is an amazing place to buy local food and run into local friends!
I love just being there. It’s like a microcosm of all the best things about Nevada City — local abundance, interesting people, a festive atmosphere despite its smallness. My only complaint is that it didn’t start earlier!
Wow, Erin! Such a great giveaway! 🙂
I love all of the fresh produce from local farms. So, so good. Glad to live where I do.
I love Nevada City Farmers Market because it’s so conveniently located….I get to support our local farmers and ranchers….I get to eat healthy…I get to visit with friends…I get to be outside in the morning before it gets too hot….the list goes on. I have people coming into town with their kids for the Soapbox Derby on June 13th. I’m thinking, we’ll pick up some picnic items at the Farmers Market, listen to a little Paige Anderson and the Fearless Kin and then head off to go see some racin’!!! What a fun family day it will be!
It is a festival of color! Plus, the selection of local produce is wonderful.
I love that I can walk (and usually end up lugging a big bag of potatoes and peaches back up the hill). I can’t go home without Jeremy’s potatoes! What a great giveaway, I haven’t tried New Dawn or Nash’s.
We love the market because it’s delicious local produce and foods… what tastes better than local??? Lol
So many things to love…always running into friends, great samples, coffee & other good smells, enjoying the sunshine – can’t wait for next weekend!
Can’t WAIT for the Farmers’ Market!!! It’s one of my favorite things to do on Saturday morning after Jazzercise. Fresh everything goes in my market basket, and often I have to take a load of goodies to my car and come back again. I’m low on Frontier Angel soap, so I can load up on Saturday!!!
It’s market time once again! Yay! The market makes the weekend that much sweeter! We love listening to the music and running into friends. My son’s favorite is the popsicle stand.. thanks for the reminder that it begins this Saturday!
So glad the market is starting this weekend, and a big thank you to all the farmers who work so hard bringing us such beautiful food. I love how convenient the farmers market is, and the chance to socialize as well.
Beautiful, fresh produce. Tasty sweets. I love the farmer’s markets in the Sacramento area, but it is missing that special charm that I am always drawn to whenever I visit Nevada City 🙂
We are so lucky to be able to buy so many locally grown foods. I also love living in a small enough town where I can see people I know at the Saturday Market.
How can you go anywhere in Nevada City without bumping into people you know?
There is so much to love about the NC Farmer’s Market! I especially enjoy shopping for fresh & delicious produce, visiting with friends, and enjoying the lively atmosphere.
I love visiting with friends too, the veggies are always bonus.
I haven’t been to the Nevada City Farmers’ Market–usually go to North Star House–but this article has me changing my plans for this week. Fresh veggies, bakery bread, and kombucha: gotta be there! I hope to love them all.
I love the variety available at the market! The strawberries are my favorite!
Did you see that Mountain Bounty is going to have loganberries this week? Yum!
I am eating them now! YUM YUM.
There is nothing I don’t like about this market: local, colorful, friendly people, children….a real feeling of community. I’ll see you there!
I am excited that the Farmers Market is back! Love the live music, freshest produce, great coffee and smoothies, and, most of all, catching up with friends.
Look forward to seeing those little shoppers of yours….
oh boy! oh boy! another good reason to stroll downtown on a Saturday morning. (I hope someone is selling iced coffee!)
